Sergeant Graham opened the meeting with a toast to Australia.
President Allan welcomed Swan Rotary members, and partners, Robyn, Clare and Pauline.

We sadly had to cancel the Bassendean Markets this weekend due to the weather forecast for the day, and the condition of the oval.
Floods in NSW - Allan
We all would have received an email on the 23 May regarding 'urgent support needed for NSW flood emergency response'
Dear David,
As communities across New South Wales face one of the most devastating flood emergencies in recent memory, we are once again called to act with compassion and urgency.
In just two days, parts of the state have received four months’ worth of rain, triggering flash floods that have inundated homes, cut off entire towns, and tragically claimed lives. Over 50,000 residents have been warned to evacuate or prepare for isolation, with major flooding affecting areas such as Taree, Wingham, Dungog, and the Mid North Coast.
Emergency services are stretched thin, conducting hundreds of rescues while many residents remain stranded. The full scale of the disaster is still unfolding, and the need for coordinated support is growing by the hour.
Rotary District 9660 ismobilising to assist affected communities. Disaster coordinators are being appointed, and collaboration with local authorities is underway. As with the Queensland response, mental health support will be a critical focus in the recovery phase.

We have received bookings, 7 caravans and a couple of cabins have been booked. If you are intending on coming please let David Uhe know ASAP.
Due to the location of this one, Beverly, It may be possible for a day trip if you are free and interested. A program will be coming out closer to the day. Please consider coming if you can and enjoying some fellowship.

Unfortunately, Our scheduled speaker fell ill today and we were unable to secure a replacement.
David C did some improvisation and hosted a quick quiz, Members of Swan Rotary joined teams of 2 to 4 people and answered some tricky questions on the topics of General Knowledge, Pop Culture, and Geography.
