Lift The Lid Walk –
Event booking is managed by Rotary Club of Maylands, and event will be run in conjunction with Maylands Rotary, Belmont Rotary and Swan Rotary.
Swan Rotary Changeover –
12 June 2026, Bassendean Hotel, in the Swan Room. The venue has the capacity to host 40 – 50 people.
Cost will be $70 for a two course meal.
Graham and Sue will be visiting the Bassendean Hotel to discuss requirements and finalise arrangements.
Invitation will come out soon!
Fellowship Weekend –
Our next fellowship get away will be in Geraldton, at the Belair Caravan Park, being orgaised by President Graham.
17 – 21 September
Location will offer a range of social and sightseeing activities.
The City of Swan and the Swan Volunteer Resource Centre know your volunteers make an incredible contribution to both your organisation and the wider community.
As part of National Volunteer Week 2026 and in recognition of our continued support to our members, we'd like for you to offer these free events to your volunteers as a thank you. We encourage you to pass this on to your volunteer networks within the City of Swan area.
We've partnered with ACE HOYTS Midland Gate to offer four free movie screenings.
These include:
Hamnet on Friday, May 15 from 10.30am-12.35pm
Wuthering Heights on Monday, May 18 from 6.30-8.45pm
Avatar: Fire and Ash on Tuesday, May 19 from 1.30-4.45pm
Anaconda on Tuesday, May 19 from 6.30-8.10pm
Volunteers are welcome to bring one person along but must remember to book an extra spot when registering. Movie tickets include a free popcorn and choc top.
To close out National Volunteer Week, we are hosting a free live concert to celebrate the spirit of volunteering.
The Volunteering Rocks concert will be held on:
Friday, May 22 from 4-9pm
Locale Event Space, 37 The Crescent, Midland.
Volunteers and loved ones can enjoy iconic rock hits performed by a great lineup of tribute bands. There'll be a sausage sizzle and soft drinks available for a gold coin donation.

Celebrating 100 Years of Rotary in WA
As we prepare to celebrate this historic milestone—100 years of Rotary serving the Western Australian community—I wanted to send a friendly reminder to secure your tickets for our upcoming Centenary Legacy Luncheon.
This special event will officially launch our Centenary Year, and we would be absolutely delighted to have you join us. We are delighted to have a prestigious guest list confirmed, including the Lord Mayor of Perth, the UWA Chancellor, and several key community and business leaders.
