Stand in Sergeant Angela opened the meeting with an Acknowledgment of country and a toast to Australia and her people. 
 
President Allan opened the meeting and welcomed all.

Markets -                Everything is organised for the market at BIC Reserve on Saturday February 22. Marshals have been organised, and thanks for Mary for volunteering to help with the BBQ. 
 

Announcements 

60th Birthday celebration for the RC of Morley.
Attended by Betty, Maureen, Mary, Rachel and David Uhe from Swan Rotary
 
This celebration of The Rotary Club of Morley was chartered in 1964, was also attended by Hon Patrick Gorman, MP, Cr Filomena Piffaretti, Mayor of the City of
Bayswater, DG Pat and club supporters and sponsors.
 
They spoke on the various achievements of the club over the past 60 years.
 
Change Over Evening 
President Elect, Graham will be away from 11 July to 15 Aug. We have pencilled in the Change Over date for our club to be 4th July, pending availability of venue.

Grapevine
The Grapevine is now being produced through ClubRunner, below is a how-to guide on how to find it on the website.
 
It is also emailed out to all Swan Rotary Members, David will work with Graham on his return to ensure previous grapevine subscribers are added to the mailing list.

Swan Rotary Social Media
 
Swan Rotary is on Facebook, but we are needing at least one other person who can help manage the page and post regularly. 
David C also met with the Social Media manager for SJOG Midland who gave some helpful tips and tricks, and suggested that we define our expectations and goals for the page. 
 
 
 
 
 
 
Authorisation for Photographs 
A draft permission form has been structured for Under 18s who attend a club meeting, to ensure we are meeting youth protection guidelines. 
We will also be adding a permission clause to new member forms. 
 
Interact Club 
The teacher who has contacted the club about getting an Interact Club up and running will be contacted for him to come and talk to the club. Rachel also has a contact from the Morley Rotary Dinner who she will invite on the same night.

Project Listing
Has been circulated to all members via club runner, Aim is to improve its presentation so it can be distributed to prospective members.
 
RYPEN
Open to high school aged students
Peace Polls & Buddy Benches
 
Rachel is still on the look out for schools to install peace polls and buddy benches. 
 
Bali School Kids
Rachel has met with the Rotary Club of Boulder and is supporting them as they take over the project.  
 
End Polio Concert
Have been in touch with the performers, will be looking at Sep/Oct for the concert. 
 
Vocational Training Team
The Vocational Training Team from the USA will be over in March. David U is in the planning stages of having a club night with couple of other local clubs, depending on availability, and arrival, of the team. Watch this space. 
Also looking for a host home for members of the team, if anyone is interested.   
 
Replacement of BBQ
Still in talks about the quotes, will update when we have more information.
RC Mundaring may also be selling their food truck, Rachel will be in contact to find out more information.
 
MAJOR PROJECT
St John of God Midland Hospital have put forward a proposal for Swan Rotary to sponsor their Emergency Department Neuro-divergent Program at St John of God Midland Hospital. 
 
The Swan Rotary Board has approved this project, requiring a club contribution of $39500.00, for this very worthy cause. City of Swan have committed $10000.00 while Autism WA will provide the training for staff.
 
There will some progressive reports regarding project achievements although it will probably be 6 months for clear pathways to be evident.

Bottle Tops
Just a reminder, Durham Road School is currently at capacity for their bottle tops Recycling project due to the school break. Please consider dropping at EnviroHouse in Bayswater, who will clean, sort and pass along when DRS is back up and running.

Angela was very insistent that she is not an assistant sergeant, and that this is a once off, that being said she did an amazing job!

Closure
