π Guest Club Presentation β Rotary Club of Ipswich Donna Smith (member for 5 years, community leader) shared three key projects:
π Fruit Box Program
Running for 3 years Weekly fruit boxes donated to local schools Cost: $22,000 annually Funded largely by the Tough Kids event πββοΈ Tough Kids Triathlon
Running for 25 years Swim, Bike, Run event for kids
Initially, started with 70 participants, now 319
Winners receive medals
Raised ~$19,000 to support Fruit Box
π₯ͺ Eat Up Australia β Sandwiches for Schools
Founded in Shepparton, VIC by a school leaver Now Australia-wide RC Ipswich makes 6,000 sandwiches three times per school term Involves ~70 volunteers from local schools Supports 30 schools Received a grant for 15 upright freezers with RC logo for school storage

π World Polio Day β Train Ride for Awareness Date : Friday, 24 October 2025Time : 8:00 AM β 6:00 PM
Location : Various train stations across WA
Purpose : Raise awareness for Rotaryβs End Polio Now campaign and help reach the goal of $50,000 through club sponsorships.
Rotarians from District 9423 will ride the WA Railway Network wearing red Polio T-shirts to promote the cause.

Free to join β but registration is required for insurance. π T-shirts available (subject to stock).

π₯ SJOG Midland β Neurodiverse Support Program
David U, Manny and Fred meet with Maddie from SJOG this morning to discuss how the project is travelling. They shared the following article and will be working on further promotional materials which will include the Swan Rotary Logo.
π§Έ Childrenβs Ward Visit β SJOG (Sue)
Delivered 113 items donated with Swan Rotary branding, including; Colouring packs, knitted bears, activity kits Will check in on their stock of preemie octopusβ, and will make arrangements to make more if needed Aubrey may have a lead on Rotary-branded bears, for the future, and will update Sue when he has more information
