Sadly Fred and Robyn’s son in law has passed away after a long illness, club’s thoughts with the family.
DG Veronica has invited nominations for a Representative on the Council on Legislation.
The Representative on the Council on Legislation will serve during the Council term from 1 January 2026 through 30 June 2028. If anyone interested I can send them the e-mail.
Ian Ball RYLA reaching out with some urgency — we are well short of applications for RYLA 2026. Out of our target of 35–40 participants, we currently have only 17. Aubrey assured the club that his nominated person will put their application in tomorrow.
Jerry Pilcher, ARH IHS “Let’s Celebrate” - Final 2025 WA Event - Thursday 11 December (6.30-9.30pm) Mercure, Irwin St Perth. We encourage sponsor clubs to nominate two members who may not have attended these events before. Although federal funding will cease in January, ARH will continue the program for at least the current students thanks to club support and East Perth Rotary’s legacy and may continue it into the future if ongoing Rotary support is evident. Rachel has shown interest to attend this event.

10:00 am - Friday 5th December Midland March that Matters, Juniper Gardens, Farmers Market Lane, Midland, we want to walk as a team as we should have our new shirts. Betty has volunteered to stay at the BBQ while the rest of us walk.
Bill Midland Market update, Lizzie has met with the Town of Bassendean and there will be more advertising arranged. Decided to drop the initial stallholder and food vendor price as an incentive. First one on Saturday December 13th in the evening.
Bill Bassendean Markets, on Saturday November 29th so will ask for marshals and BBQ helpers at next meeting.
Xmas Function, David Uhe to fill us in next week on payment plans and look at numbers that will be able to attend.
Beverley Weekend, Bill reported on this, with over 20 attending with a few extras on Saturday and Sunday was a fantastic weekend with many thanks to David and Pauline Uhe for arranging this. There was certainly a lot to see in Beverley and the surrounding area and the Caravan Park run by the local council was neat with adequate facilities, we took over their camp kitchen area! Bill and Sue Bennetts went up (separately) on gliders with Bill flying his far 38 minutes getting to a ceiling height of 5,300 feet.
Next weekend away. Manny and Sue are organising this and March next year is a very busy time with the Rotary Conference and school holidays around then so only one slot is available, in on the 19th of March and out on the 23rd of March and this will be at Margaret River.

Project Night Fred
Fred spoke about the NEST pilot research project that we are co-sponsoring along with Autism WA at the St John of God Hospital Midland. More information will be presented shortly and this project will commence early in 2026, has been a little longer in commencing than we had hoped but things are now happening. Aubrey asked about the reason why it is only open to children under 18, Fred to follow through.
Request from the City of Swan to do a sausage sizzle on the 23rd of January near the skate park.
Seniors Xmas luncheon at Bullsbrook on the 10th of December, all organized with raffle prizes and bon bons sorted. Local MLA and councillors will be attending.
Liebherr lunches still going well and thank you to all those that have been able to attend.
Community garden, still harvesting product weekly with most beds full of vegetables at various stages of development. Will need some help soon to assist putting up the shadecloth.
Sue spoke about the Zoom meeting she attended on Saturday the 9th of November 2025, this was about the District Club Incentive Grants.
District has money to give clubs from the merging of the former two districts
Incentive to enable clubs to lift their profile, to have a better presence in their communities
Request members to brainstorm ideas to help our club and Rotary overall
There are 82 Clubs in WA, each one different
What will build Rotary within our Community?
One idea could be to look at forming a partnership within your community
Sue’s Ideas included:
Look at a Rotary sign at the Midland Market site.
Also Brown Park signage, Swan View
Perhaps a Rotary Park in the local area
Updating the Rotary sign in the pathway out the front of the 7th Avenue
Idea need to be to district by the 3rd of December so any member ideas please send them to President Graham before the next Board Meeting on November 24.

Ian, driving back from Northcliffe destroying a rear tyre without hearing anything. Also finding an extra bull calf on his property on his return.
Bill, Birthday while in Beverley and shared an enormous cake at the hotel.
Fred, while taking his chairs down to the camp kitchen drove into a drain and hoped no one saw him, bad luck they did.
